Your Journey

1. Check your finances and how much you can afford

You will need to check the amount you can borrow, how much deposit you require and obtain a mortgage agreed in principle. We can help you and recommend a financial advisor.

2. Find your new home

Once you’ve found your fabulous new dream home with us, you will need to complete a reservation form and pay a reservation fee which means we can reserve your home.

3. Appoint a solicitor

Next, you’ll need to appoint a conveyancing solicitor for all the legal aspects of buying your new home.

4. Solicitor searches

Your solicitor will work with various local authorities to conduct all the necessary searches in relation to buying your new home.

5. Exchange deadline

Your solicitor will need to be informed of our 42-day exchange deadline to ensure that they will be able to effect exchange of contracts within that time.

6. Exchange contracts

Once all the legal work is complete, your solicitor will exchange contracts with our solicitor. This is when you pay your deposit and make a legal commitment.

7. Confirmed date for completion

We will agree a completion date and you can then start making the necessary arrangements to move into your brand-new home.

Once you have this date, you can book your removal company, arrange for your new phone line to be connected and transfer the utility account to your new address.

8. Meet the site manager

Before you move in, we will arrange for our Site Manager to show you around your new home. They will take you through each room to make sure you are familiar with all its functions and features.

9. Completion Day

On the day of legal completion, we will await a call from our solicitor to confirm that funds have been received and your purchase has therefore completed. This means you’ve officially completed on your new home and we can hand over the keys so you can start moving in!

10. Keeping in touch

It’s important to us that you comfortably settle into your new home and that’s why our team will pay you a courtesy visit after you’ve moved in. This allows you to ask any questions you may have.

11. Aftercare

Once you have moved into your new home, our Customer Service team will become your point of contact to help resolve any issues.
